Bangkok trip 2010 - Day 2

Our day started as early as 9am, and breakfast(complimentary) was prepared by the hotel.

I'm wearing the dress and slippers that I've gotta from Pratunam market on the previous day. It costs about sgd 3-4 each! Dirt cheap, isn't it?!

I had amercian breakfast while bby had omelette with toasts.

Done with breakie, it was time for a good shopping spree at Pratunam market and MBK for the day.

We had Mr Meng for tea break!

Yummylicious dimsums!

Ooohwooo~ bf & I dig these! We have no idea what this calls though. You have a choice for having either sweet or salty taste for that crispy bits.

Baby popped down a pork bun from Macdonald whilst I was fishing for cheap earrings at plaza29. He claimed that he would like to try that out as it could not be found it singapore.

After shopping at MBK, we hopped down to chinatown by cab in the evening based on our itinerary for the day. We were looking forward to have a feast at Chinatown for that they were well-known for good & cheap shark fins and bird nests at their Chinese restaurants. But….

It was then the weather decided to rain on us. It started pouring cats and dogs in no time, we didn’t foresee it coming, therefore, it has not only have dampened our moods as well as our itinerary for the day! There wasn’t a trace of sign that the rain would stop any time soon, thus, we decided to hop on to any oncoming cab and head back to MBK.

We heard raves about this Japanese restaurant, Kobune in MBK; so, we decided to give a try. It was an awful choice made. The foods were such a let-down nowhere near to what we have been told about. Whatsoever it is, after dinner was settled, it pretty much had wrapped up this awful day. As the weather wasn’t showing any mercy to us for that the rain didn’t stop till 11pm, and most of the shops had already ceased business for the day by then. So, we made our way back to the hotel for a good night rest.

Out of all the dishes above, only the terriyaki chicken is pleasant to my taste buds.

Grabbed Macdonald whilst on the way back to the hotel. Yes, I've sinned once again.

Our loots for the day!
